The house is set in the quiet & pretty village of Papcastle, Cumbria overlooking the fells of Grassmoor & Red Pike. Perfect for a quiet getaway, the location of Ditton Lodge allows easy exploration of the Georgian Market town Cockermouth; in fact we are just a short walk from the Main Street. Simply take a stroll over the river Derwent to arrive at the birthplace of William & Dorothy Wordsworth. Our main suite has a private entrance from the main house, ensuring guest privacy. Double (Super King) and twin rooms are available. Wireless broadband (6mb) is also available for guest use. Our focus is on guest comfort and your stay includes a comprehensive breakfast menu of locally sourced food for your enjoyment. Should you have any special requirements, we will be pleased to assist. Children are welcome and a family room can be prepared with a cot or an extra bed. A highchair is also available. The village is also ideally situated for exploring the Northern Lake District, Keswick is approximately 20 minutes by car & some of the most beautiful walking areas are easily accessible from Papcastle. Whilst visiting the Lake District you may wish to visit the beautiful lakes of Bassenthwaite, Windermere, Rydal Tarn, Ullswater, Buttermere, Crummock, Ennerdale & Wasdale.
